Housing commission advice?

after paying a 5,000 debt left by my ex husband and being in the private market for 3 years, I am now terminally ill, a few years to go and cannot find emergency housing because of my sickness (they dont want the responsibility) I find myself homeless and moving every few days to not break my friends and families leases. I have no street smarts, no where to turn and no money, what advice is there besides topping myself?. I have tried everywhere with medical certificates etc to no avail and while suffering depression am at a loss of what to do. Sleeping in a tent in a backyard, sick and weighing 42 kilos is killing me quicker. Housing says there is no where but i see empty units everywhere, fixed and ready to go standing empty for months. Any tricks or something that could help?
