Do drivers lose their flex from a lot of use?

There is no evidence at this time that says a graphite shaft will naturally lose its flex over time. With steel it's possible, because the metal under the chrome plating will rust, causing it to become flexible. Now, it is possible the shaft is broken or cracked somewhere... that could have an effect on its playability.
