I am making a cake for my daughters 2nd birthday. I can make little sponges ok but when i make a big one it tastes a bit eggy lol do i need to leave it longer? i leave it untill it shrinks from edge of tin and a clean knife comes out so i think i might burn it if i leave it longer. I use the old 4,4,4 sugar flour butter and 2 eggs recipe. But double it up. Is this too much egg?? Any tips much appreciated as i want to wow my family!!! Plus im trying to make a barbie doll cake so wish me luck!!!
